@ Ruffy, I'd like to ask a few questions please ;-

1) Did you use the AE #6160 later version body (the one that has the very regular window netting pattern, as if it's been CAD / CAM made) or the earlier version of the #6160 AE body with the "irregular" or hand molded netting pattern, or some other (repro?) body? I have 2 of the later AE ones of the #6160 Protech body. I see that Team Bluegroove do a repro also BTW.

2) Did you use the AE 6184 / 6185 small wing? Or a 3rd party / repro one?

3) What driver figure did you use (brand, model) ? Did you use the driver helmet that came with your driver figure or is the helmet from a different figure, and if so which one?

4) Which decal set(s) have you used so far?

5) You mentioned that you used the Parma Faskolor orange, yellow and white for the paint. Was the orange the normal (regular) orange, or instead the pearl or flourescent (they do 2 different fluoro's, both orange) (I don't imagine that you used the translucent one or the glitter one!)? i.e. was the orange code # 40007 ? Was the white the normal one or the pearl one? i.e. was it code 40000 ? Was the yellow the normal one or one of the 2 flouro yellow ones that they make? i.e. was it code 40002 ?

OK so I managed to find an Import Fighter advert on Ebay showing the RC10 box art. But I still can't figure out what magazine this Futaba Car Radios advert came from? Was it from an RCCA magazine of 1984? If so, which issue please?

Anyone? Please help!

Ruffy, apologies is this has been answered already in this 11 page thread, but what driver figure did you use? i'm assuming it's a Tamiya, but the Tamiya helmets don't have visors....

Your Box Art Replica is awesome!!!! Did you have any issue getting the anodize to blend well where the holes were filled/welded?

what is your plan on the antenna mount?

Here is what I came up with. I machined out of nylon rod. The lower portion has raised edges to help capture the excess antenna wire.

Chassis came back from anodizing after welding of the holes in the noseplate and motorplate like the box cover art shows, all thanks go to JHarris and my welding team here at work!

Comparison shots with box scans:
Showing the 7-cell battery pack, 3-wire Novak with machined heatsinks (hand made), AE power connectors, fiberglass battery straps (hand made), Airtronics equipment, and I have the Goodyear tires on with the "Goodyear" facing outward. I still have to machine the AE in the noseplate lightly to show-up as aluminum.

I just noticed the box art does not use the white plastic shock eyelet bushings. Has anyone figured out what is being used?

I've actually had the electronics for over 20 yrs now. Just sitting in a box of my Novak stuff.

After reading through for the third or fourth time I always come away with a better idea of the original box art car and what it takes to build one at your level of expertise.
Your contributions are very much appreciated.

Now, those drivers (#1 & #2) in the above pics, are they your two choices for this build?

Driver figures:
Yes, I painted both from Tamiya driver figures, the #1 is the one from the Rough Rider set, the #2 I can't recall from which buggy it comes. The #1 is the one used on the RC10 Box Artwork buggy and is the one I have in the other two box art builds I have, but since this 3rd one I am doing with slight changes (ex. the Novak electronics vs Airtronics like my other two), I may just use the #2 figure for this build to have a slightly different version.
