alright, so i've been trying to figure out just what to do with this car........ now that the flourescent parts aren't being swapped in. :wink: well, i've decided to build it up to run at small indoor carpet track 10-15 min. from my house. so i think i'll change the thread title to "CM-10". i'll let you guy's guess at that one awhile. :mrgreen:

i took the worlds rear tower off, as well as that modded b3 tower off the front, installed a set of dyed stock fiberglass towers and rebuilt the shocks. swapped the 1/4" cvd's out in favor of 3/16" so i could run the hpi "losi" hex super star adapters and the jconcepts 1/16 e-revo rear rims. not sure what i'm gonna do up front yet. i haven't used the b4 castor blocks/knuckles/axles on anything yet so i might go that route. maybe i'll just use the wide axles and b4 fronts, or leave it stock and run b2-b3 or wide b3 rims. we'll see.....

You going to turn laps that fast with the pink pan? Wow, my b3 racer doesn't turn that well or respond from a dig with that much power. It's the mojo I seem to be missing.

It also could be the driver I have to admit. :oops:

Hello all,
If everything goes well, I am going to become the new owner of the PB-10. I bought a Team Car with the intention of running it but it turned out to be in shelf condition. Scr8p is trading this car for it.
I'm planning to use it as a club racer, and most likely take it to the VONATS.
I agree with Lonestar, and I'll probably strip the shocks.
It's coming with a B4 topshaft and no slipper.
First and foremost right now will be choosing a body and getting my electronics on it.
I look forward to receiving it and I'll post updates when it arrives.

I got the car today!
I'm trying to decide if I should strip the shocks. On one hand, they're in nice shape. On the other, the pink and gold really clash.
I need to decide on a paint scheme. It definitely can't have too much pink in it, and I'm thinking no red. It needs to compliment the pink which, frankly, isn't easy. :lol:
Also, I may or may not be able to make my hardcase lipos fit without modifying the bulkhead. How much of a crime would it be do slightly cut up a black Worlds bulkhead?

Right now it's pretty much that last picture plus turnbuckles. I'll post pictures once there's something to see.

No, I'd take too much flack if I used the Team car- almost as much as I'm getting from my high school r/c friends from buying this! :lol:
On a serious note, the build quality is outstanding. Your attention to detail is amazing, especially for a car you were building as a runner.

funny to see projects change owners back and forth :mrgreen:

I was at our track yesterday and chatted with a buddy I hadn't seen for a while... when we started talking engines (8th scale track, mostly nitro) I ended up finding out he now runs an OS I had bought 3yrs ago and sold to someone else. The engine was tuned and engraved, so no doubt on that :lol:

I still think these bodies should be stripped to match chassis ano :mrgreen:

Hello all,
I've been quite busy these last few days, but today I made more progress on the car than Scr8p ever did: I installed a servo!

I have a small problem. My battery doesn't fit. In order to make it fit, I will either need to slightly modify the bulkhead or buy a re-re bulkhead.
How much of a crime is it to modify a black Worlds bulkhead?

unless you plan on selling the bulkhead for some reason, it doesn't matter if you cut it.

Hello all,
I finished the car over a month ago- late April to early May?- and then it sat.
Between Boy Scouts, school, cycling, and real cars, I've been too busy to paint the body.
Earlier this week, I had time to paint the body.
After trying do decide whether I should strip the shocks, I decided to take the "interesting" pink/gold combo and run with it. :o
Yesterday, I caught a "break" and cut my foot on glass. I needed four stitches.
After walking several miles at an amusement park, I had time to charge up a battery and run the thing.

It drove really nicely. This is only the second Rc10 I've driven. It has the same overall character and feel my long-arm converted 6 gear did, but much more polished. It's predictable, fast, and fun. I'm planning to replace the worn out front tires and gear it down a little, but other than that it's pretty much dialed. I expect it'll do well at my local indoor track.
Other than the 3 degree arm mounts and 25 degree caster blocks, it's set up pretty much the same way Scr8p had it.
