8rads first RC10 build.

Post by 8rad »

I have been a member here for almost three years and even though I have always been a Schumacher/Losi guy I have to admit that looking at all your beautiful "10's" I finally absolutely have to have one!

For my RC10 I am going to be doing an old is new build. I feel a bit like this has been done to death............but screw it!
Its what I want my RC10 to be SO IT WILL BE!

I have always liked seeing those build threads where they start with an entire buggy in a pile of NIP parts. I always think "Man it must take willpower to not tear into that pile and start building". So I made a pledge to myself to not start the build until every piece is in my pile.

I still have a few things to pick up but I am so excited about my pile I just have to share it with you.

And thanks to all who contributed to this pile by taking my money!

Nice pile of parts you have there. Should be a pretty sweet car when you are done.

What else are you missing? I don't see a front tower. Are you waiting on Scr8p's/JayDub's project? I have the RPM Worlds, it doesn't match your other parts but it's yours if you want it. :D

I can never wait for all my parts to start a build. I just get so exited when I get a new bag of parts I just tear into like a kid on Christmas

Its super friggin hard to wait. But I have my MMV Build going on now too so that is taking alot of my attention.

Absolutely!

Protech body.
Shocks.
Front inner pins.
Diff.
Rear inner pins. I have RC10 ones but remember reading that I need 10t pins for the klein arms.

Thats about it I think.

Remember the chassis Marvin?

you need 10t/gt inner fronts. you can use the rear rc10 pins, they're just a little longer than they have to be.

on the front tower, jaydub is a little preoccupied right now  , so i don't know what the eta is gonna be on them.

OK cool. The RC10 inner fronts are pretty hard to find anyhow.

No worries on the tower. When it happens it happens.

SWEEEET Mound O' Parts. I am also building an rc10 but I did not have the patients to wait for the parts to pile up. I just pulled it out of a box one day and started tearing it down. I just now rebuilt it and started to get some new parts. I remember racing that thing around my gravel drive way for hours. There is nothing that drives like an rc10. Although the bottom of my car looks like a tiger got at it.

Love these threads, and yes I always feel the same way about a pile of nip parts. What kills me and my budget is that as I am getting parts for a build I always see other stuff that is nice to have, so I pick that up too! And other build piles are started, while the original one I started with still has missing parts. Argh!

I am always amazed at how many nip rear bulkheads are still out there. How many will we see in another few years?
