I have thought about those guys for this. I just need to get some 3D cad skills...so far I suck at the 3d stuff.

Nooooooooo. I was SO looking forward to see those arms from the mold. Totally understandable though. Well for what it's worth you have inspired me to build one of these cars. Might not be the same level as your build :? . You have some mad skills but I'm gonna give it a shot. Do you mind if I pm you with a few question once in awhile? Thanks

If you have a 2D file, I'll make a 3D out of it.

I have quite a bit of experience with 3d cad. You my have seen a couple of my 3d printed parts that I made on my crappy little homemade printer, but I can vouch for shapeways quality. I think their strong and flexible plastic would be perfect for this. It is laser sintered nylon. If you need help converting the 2d models to 3d models that they can print, just let me know. There are many other people on here that have a lot of 3d modeling talent that i have seen too.

I've dealt with Shapeways many times. Good quality parts and somewhat local to me. I helped them design their shop and clean room area.

Don't feel too bad Jake- Aside from Roger Curtis and Gene Hustings, it's more than any of us have ever done toward the stealth car 8) 8)

You know seeing the other thread on the car makes me want to fire this one back up. I don't think I have the ability or time to do it though. Only time will tell....

Just drop everything and dont charge alot either!.. I'm joking of course. You've gotten farther then anyone at this point, and completely succeeded imo. Once it becomes a job, that feeling of importance goes away. But, at least your shelf has its king 8)

Jake,

Finding this forum and seeing what you started IS what brought me back into the hobby after a 20-years hiatus. But I do understand the time/ability aspect. A lot of things need to come together for a project like this to ultimately be successful. I'm hoping we can have a full blown car by next Spring but anything sooner is beyond my dreams at this point.

Hopefully, you can find the time and get your project back on track.
