I think there was a thread on the forum explaining how to use a later slipper (using a diferent top-shaft).
All recent cars use dual-slipper paths. I guess that has to do with the wilder moters of todays, but it could just be for smoothness too.

sorry it's not a complete suggestion, I hope it puts you on a good path.

Looking forward to the pics you'll make, right?

That was a valuable answer, thank you! :D Found it in the Useful links section.

Wil try that in case I am able to collect the parts in time.

Thanks

Seems like Hoopty fall in love ...

But from what Michael told me there are no cars left. The B2/Yokomo based one was the last Vitec left and it was destroyed two years ago by one of his drivers unfortunately. :|

The MK I seems like something we could still recreate if he'd share the plans...

Hi everybody!

I decided to go LiPo and Brushless now. The mildest wind I have around here is a 6.5 Turn. A 7.5T ot 8.5T would be more suitable because of the technical indoor track but I am not able to get hold of some before the race meeting. I will rebuild the differential next up and with a mild setup of the speedo and a proper slipper setup the Stealth should not create any problems. Hopefully.

i don't see why you would have a problem with the stealth. the newer versions (b3,b4) can handle the power.

I wouldn't worry about the stealth half as much as about being able to keep it under control myself
Not much use in a gearbox that holds up if you can't avoid crashing into stuff.
(note: this is not a negative comment about your choice of equipment, just a reflection on my own capcity as a driver, right after my initial reaction: "Iwish I had stuff like this".)

Dunno. Maybe it is the usual fear of us male beings of not being properly equipped to do the task ...

No worries dude! Without working in the model industrie I would not be able to install LiPo's or modern brushless equipment. Maybe I would still use 3000mAh Sanyo's, my old-and-trusted LRP QC1 and a Trinity D3. Well, speaking of that I think it might be a better choice ...

No, dont do that. Go LiPo and BL. I tried that last Thursday at OUR track. It worked very well. I used a 12T BL motor instead of a 6.5. But you might be able to get it hooked up if you use a low power setup on the esc. By the way, the body looks killer, or kinda sick.
Keep it up sugar boy!
