This is a great idea! The driver is very technical with car set up and understanding setup changes, he is also very eloquent! So should not be a problem. I would like if he could comment about each car while he is driving, but I'm not sure he will be able. To drive consistent laps takes utmost concentration!

Just to give you guys a heads up. I spoke to Aaron of RC Sparks and he is on board and will be filming the cars! :D Anthony (VintageAE) is now painting the Graphite and the CE bodies as we speak! :o We are on track for testing in the spring! 8) Also RC Gears (local track) has ripped up the old track and is redoing it in the spring, so I'm hoping to get use of a fresh track!

What is your plan with the electronics? Will you go period correct or the same setup for each car?
RC10 Short Arm | Novak Tempest ESC | Tamiya Torque Tuned 25T | Savox 1258 | Stealth Trans w/ Exotek Slipper Eliminator (geared 24/81)
RC10B3 | HW Just Stock Club Spec | Reedy 13.5 | Savox 1258

I am sure it will be period correct for each car running.

Rod, just let me know what help you can use come spring. This is something I am more than willing to help out with. Winter sucks! ...

Thanks Dave, I will let you know when we are doing it. I'm sure we will need help with taking action pictures, charging, swapping electronics, marshaling, and hopefully not repairs!

As for the electronics, I will be using the same brushless system and lipo batteries in each car. This keeps a level playing field. I want the only performance gain or loss to be solely based on chassis. I originally was going to use LRP. Tracy Howart was going to help me with this when I made plans to do this project a few years ago. However, with AE breaking ties with LRP, I may be using Reedy or some other brand. I have to ask Tracy, it's been so long  I'm not sure she will even remember.

Well, thanks to Anthony, we are one step closer!

All the bodies are finished, but I'm still thinking of asking VAE to paint a body for the B4. Not sure what to do, Ryan Cavalieri, Ryan Mayfield, maybe Masami? Who do you guys think we should use for the B4?

Now I also need to find decals for all of them! Hate to use OEM rare decals on runners! Anyone have haggered, stained or faded decals they could donate? I know I have one water damaged set for the Graphite RC10! It will still look sweet!

I just found this thread

I was waiting for it but now that's it's here and timing is getting closer, it's getting pretty exciting. I hope all of the cars I've built hold up or else I guess I could be the one fixing them during the testing...maybe Dave can help.

I can't wait to see all of the box art cars lined up. I suppose I could paint one more for the B4 car  :D
