Re: my graphite rpm worlds WOIN build
Yes but is anyone *making* and *Selling* them? And if they are where do I go to get one?
I remember that one that you were doing Scr8p... but I have not seen anything happen from it. JDub was supposed to cut and sell them or something... But is he still cutting any shock tower? I sent him a message a while back asking him and never got a response.
**Edit** I just went and searched deep into my messages... he did respond and told me it would be a while when he did more shock towers.

aaron is selling all kinds of worlds style fronts. a drill, drill bit, and two holes later...........
doesn't rccarbonworks and fibre-lyte both have them too? isn't that what the middle row of holes is for on thier worlds style towers?

Re: my graphite rpm worlds WOIN build
Sure if you want a RPM worlds tower... I'm saying a tower like the one you have on the pic above. Nobody does that tower and I would buy a few of them if they were made. Till then I buy the T-Tiger towers at $27 a pop. (Yes I have 3 of them)
This one... Gives you one option to mount a .89 shock... and if that is for a .89... then I guess you like to have your arms flat at full extension... I have tried it. http://rccarbonworks.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&path=20_36&product_id=114
Aarons are pretty much the same. Not useful for what I want. I'm fine with the T-Tiger tower. Its just worth mentioning... If I'm willing to spend $27 on a tower... I would be willing to spend the $$ on a tower that is made to fit and how I want it. Just putting that out there. Not that I agree with the price of the T-Tiger tower. But I do have 3 of them because its close to what I am looking for without trying to find a B3 tower which I'm sure are out there, just come up slowly.

Re: my graphite rpm worlds WOIN build
Can't find the post but I remember Ruffy(?) posting a pic of a Worlds front end he used to run with a cut down 10T shock tower for .71" shocks. It was kind of shaped like the front shock tower on Kinwald's team car.

Re: my graphite rpm worlds WOIN build
i'll buy a couple of aaron's c.c. worlds towers for $17 each, drill a couple holes, chop the tops, and sell them to you for $27 each.

Re: my graphite rpm worlds WOIN build
I can already do that and I don't need Aarons tower for that.
Its alright, I'm in the process of building a pin router. I'll copy the T-Tiger tower (B3 tower) and have it the way I want it.
For the record... I'm racing the cars I use these on. I don't need anything for a shelf car. If that were the case, then I would just use a worlds tower from Carbonworks or Aaron.

Re: my graphite rpm worlds WOIN build
the one on my red car was made for myself. JayDub worked with me on copying the c.c worlds front tower. it's one that aaron sells now.
i am surprised no one makes them. but everyone makes .89 towers for a standard buggy.....

Re: my graphite rpm worlds WOIN build
The one Aaron sells is for 1.02 shocks.
Yep, if you are interested in using the standard front end on an RC10, then you are good to go for .89 shocks. Just about everyone has towers for them... I even have a couple of JayDubs, Atlas and Carbonworks versions of them.

I remember when you were doing this. You even mentioned its possibility in the BST. I have been eagerly waiting since! It has been a while,scr8p wrote:the one on my red car was made for myself. JayDub worked with me

Re: my graphite rpm worlds WOIN build
I still have my original prototype. I liked the design, kinda based it off the detroit stealth cars. But my hole placements were off and it got changed up. Maybe I'll look into fixing this up to work as I intended.
Maybe they would be in stock and ready to ship in late 2016.

Re: my graphite rpm worlds WOIN build
The blue car on the RCCW site is one I built. The front arms still have/had down travel. You can see the comparison shot here that the spring is compressed:Orange wrote:I have tried it. http://rccarbonworks.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&path=20_36&product_id=114

Re: my graphite rpm worlds WOIN build
You have to have like 5 limiters inside the shocks or there is too much down travel. Might as well run .71's at that point. Maybe AE will come out with a .71 big bore?
If you compare the 2 towers and the hole locations, the B3 towers shock mounting holes fall directly in between the ones on that tower. The other problem I have with that tower, is that if you cut it like Scr8p suggests, then that U-shape cut at the bottom allows for a lot of flex in the tower. And you are limited to 1 mounting position. If I have to drill/cut/fart around with a tower, I would rather do it to one that will be useful for me.
