Project "RC10 Stealth-4" by mini (July 28th, 2015 updated)

Post by minimini »

There are different RC10 4WD conversions in the past.....but the prices are terribly high which I am not able to afford any one of them now......so I decided to build my own one instead...... :)

Choosing the front gearbox is troublesome.......with the great help of Jeff (Gomachv) .....I finally decided to put a stealth gearbox in front ......keeping the gear ratios the same between the front & rear .......& no doubt that the drive-train is super smooth & reliable too ...... :D

Jeff's build thread --> http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=33503

Stay tuned 8)

Looks like this might have either dynotech or Jake arms in the front?

Looking forward to it.

The front end would be too wide if I use the truck nose plate plus buggy wide track arms......that's why the nose plate was cut even narrower than the truck one....... :)

Likely the front end would be using the buggy wide track arms or RPM Team car arms..... :)

Why the longer cap screws and big washers when you could recess both the cap heads and smaller locknuts in the transmission case? It would look a lot cleaner and more streamlined. Just my opinion...

How much rake are you going to try? I ended up around 10 degrees on mine, simply looking at what kyosho did with those same suspension components. MIP ran the stock kickup and then brought the caster back at the hub carrier on theirs. Can't wait to see this one come together!
