Old school RC-10 dirt oval.
Just wanted to share a few pics of this modified dirt oval modified before I stripped it for resale. I'm not sure about the chassis. Maybe an old sportworks. The whole front end is RC-10. Also has a Stealth transmission with Liesink motor plate and RC-10 rear carriers. Check out the shocks. Pretty cool. Well I gotta go. The green acid is leaking out of the 1300 mtched pack battery.

That looks cool, at first I thought it was a horizontal dynotech gearbox but then I noticed the drive cup.
With todays brushless motors I've always wanted to do a direct drive buggy.

I was old school - when old school wasn't cool !

Kind of a shame that that Equalizer was modded but it's not the worst thing I've seen done to a classic dirt oval chassis in the last week.

K-TOWN, your lucky I was at work or you would have been sniped on that auction.
Phin, did you win that lot? If so, nice score!

Nope, I didn't bid. The TQ10 was tempting but I haven't been in the mood to buy anything lately. Though if the seller included pics of the bottom of the chassis I might have changed my mind.knucklebuster wrote:Phin, did you win that lot? If so, nice score!
Someone definitely got a great deal on the lot though.

The TQ caught my eye too. I didn't bid due to the shipping costs. I should have inquired about free local pick up as the seller was only a few miles away

Re: Old school RC-10 dirt oval.
I'm not the only one with modded mods I did finish stripping it last night. Check out the little bulkheads mounted with servo mounts. I sniped 5 auctions in a row from that ebayer. I also won the Sportworks intimidator, Technacraft lynx, AE 12l, and 2 junior radios. While I was sniping the ebayer listed a lot with 6 bags of wheels and a small box of parts as a 7 day auction. Couldnt really see anyhing in the pics but I took a gamble and offered $25. for it and they accepted. Wound up being a Andys pro kit box filled with goodies including the direct drive.

That poor Equalizer.
I searched for years to find on in good shape until Phin found me one. I just don't understand why some people did those "mods" back then.
