Pituk's Retired Racer
Pituk's Retired Racer
Saw this buggy posted on Craiglist over the weekend , it was about a hour drive so after dinner I hopped in the car and went for a drive . The original owner use to work in a hobby shop and also raced the buggy . He purchased the chassis from a salesman that stopped by the shop with new items to try. A bumper and chassis tape was installed but the left rear arm mount is broken and the rear kick-up has started to delaminate. A plate was installed in between the mounts and chassis , it held up to modified racing at the track this way . I ended paying a $100 for the buggy with some extra motor and tires. Besides the broken rear mount looks like it will just need a good cleaning and some ca around the edges of the chassis.

Nice period correct racer there with loads of hop-ups! The chassis is most probably a FusionSpeed one that was trimmed at the back.

Re: Pituk's Retired Racer
Thanks guys , had some time to work on the buggy this weekend . Just disassembled it and gave it a good cleaning with simple green . Sanded the rear kick-up and glued it with ca . A plate was used to reinforced the mounting holes in the back , the rear does feel very thin . The nose tube's were also bent a little to line up with the original holes in the front , it had an extra hole drilled over next to it .
