Re: NIX91 Runner - Mark Westerfield
27mm front, 25mm rear.
Anyway you could make a sweet editable .pdf setup sheet? (add a inside camber link hole on the front shock tower)

Niki/Jake, would you be able to export the key suspension points like this b4 one as jpgs ? http://www.teamassociated.com/pdf/cars_and_trucks/RC10B4.2/setup_sheets/B4-2_Munday_KeilorCupMLL_2013.pdf
from there I can make a editable pdf with the pics

Re: NIX91 Runner - Mark Westerfield
nice it rotates really hard off-throttle. Are these the hot rear tires for that track?

The tires on the car are Pro-line Electrons M4 with AKA closed cell inserts rear, Pro-line 8175 Rib M4 with standard inserts in the front.

Re: NIX91 Runner - Mark Westerfield
er... ok. I happen to NOT know what works at your track so you'll have to enlighten me are they supposed to be the hot ticket there? because the car's seems to be really, really skittery... the driver seems to know his stuff, and still he loses the rear end every so often. Or the car was really designed for Masami's fingers?Mark Westerfield wrote:The tires on the car are Pro-line Electrons M4 with AKA closed cell inserts rear, Pro-line 8175 Rib M4 with standard inserts in the front.

Re: NIX91 Runner - Mark Westerfield
Pro-line Electrons or Suburbs in M4 compound on all four's is the popular tire. The track was a practice day (a little dusty, no race groove). And there was no traction compound on the tires. That back section is a steep downhill where he spun the rear end out a couple of times using too much brakes. Otherwise, the car is pretty balanced and easy to drive. Holeshots grip more but push a little too much exiting the corner.

Overall, how does it compare to a modern B4/B5?Mark Westerfield wrote:Pro-line Electrons or Suburbs in M4 compound on all four's is the popular tire. The guy driving my car in the video, Kyle Rhodes, has a fast lap of 16.1 with his mid-motor B5. He got a fast lap of 16.5 with the Stealth. Not bad for the first adjustments on the car.

Re: NIX91 Runner - Mark Westerfield
Wow- that is pretty close. Assuming the avg. lap times for a heat are comparable that's pretty good. B5M has an advantage on high bite tracks (which it looks like that track would normally be) so an even better comparison would be to a standard B5.Mark Westerfield wrote:The guy driving my car in the video, Kyle Rhodes, has a fast lap of 16.1 with his mid-motor B5. Re: NIX91 Runner - Mark Westerfield
Good looking track and driving. My friend told me also that car is really easy to drive.
I can see similar rear end bouncing like my own test drive with standard rear arms. Arm flex is not a huge problem in front as shock is in the middle of arm but rear arm will twist as shock is mounted an the edge of arm. It's like one extra undampened spring. Can't be a good thing.
I have "race" arms mounted now in my car and will get to indoor track with it tomorrow. I'll try to shoot some good video material...
