My Bullet Racing Products team car

Post by fredswain »

This is my team car from my Bullet days as a kid. I've updated it a little bit. It's not an RC10 team car but rather a team driver car. It sounds more impressive than it is. I was a kid with a t-shirt! There aren't many of these left. I only know of 2 with mine being 1 of them. The other is Barry Raborn's. This chassis isn't drilled for an RC10 gearbox or rear A-arms. It is only drilled for the Bullet trailing arms and the Bullet Powerglide belt drive. I am currently redoing the steering so I don't have all of the camber links on right now. The front arms are my wider 3D printed arms that allow 2.2's without wide axles. When this car was out around 1989, long shocks were the in thing. This has truck shocks all around with limiters in them. These are newer T4 shocks that I picked up off of ebay for cheap. I'd like to get this car back out on a track again but everything today is very high grip. This car excels on rough, loamy dirt tracks.

Looks great Fred, I myself am building up a trailing arm car to attempt to run on todays clay-crete smooth supercross style tracks.

I have a set of new Andy's trailing arms too. I've always intended to build a car with them but I've got too many other projects right now. One day...

These trailing arms actually work very well. They absorb bumps like nothing else. They have adjustable camber and two antisquat settings. The pivot point is right at the center of gravity height so the car just doesn't lean in corners. They were a neat design.
