JK Racing's 91 build...not a replica, a racer

Post by JK Racing »

I've been saving up parts for a bit...I couldnt handle it anymore so I assembled up to what I could. I have MIP CVDs already, rear shocks, turnbuckles...just need front shocks, ball studs and fresh ball cups to make it a roller.

Did a little more building on it today when I was able to dig into my Tower order...

And yes....I'm not diggin' the gold parts on it any more. It will be changed to a black motor plate and a Kydex style rear motor guard.

The purple shocks look great! Wish I had a spare motor plate and guard in purple for ya

Hmmm...I havent updated this lately. Kinda stalled out for a bit. Changed up the motor plate to a black JConcepts one, made the motor guard from a scrap of kydex. Also, got the body painted up (not me, but a damn good painter/friend/fellow racer).

The final package will be awesome

I'm always shocked at how you guys can paint a shell like that BEFORE cutting it... because when you cut it, especially an RC10 body which is a PITA to cut properly with the shock towers and all, there is no way you won't damage/scratch some of the paint...

Anyways - looking forward to the final pics!

The skull is my painters logo...I told him to put his logo on the roof instead of the signature RC10 masami logo...I didnt expect him to make his skull into the logo...that is a GREAT surprise and I love it. I'm going to cringe the first few flips and crashes with the car...but I build 'em to run 'em. So, it will get ran!
