sandkil's 91 stealth

Post by sandkil »

Here is a little update on the build so far.
I'm not sure how this ends up, but I have some thoughts on doing a "If I was participating in the races myself bitd"

Nice machine work on those standoffs! Are those the Associated re-re cups? I had the AE re-re cups that look like glow in the dark green. I tried soaking them in peroxide and it made them even greener.

Thanx man,
Yep! those are the AE rere cups. I'll have to dig through my boxes to see if i can find some old ones, cause this doesn't work.

Thanx guys :)
It's a slow progress, but hoping to get the shocks done by the end of the week.

I never thought it would be this hard to find a personal and fitting paint scheme to this body.
I have been sketching up different layouts and colors, but damn!...how hard can it be?

I think I have the colors to incorporate on this body:
Black.
Flourescent blue.
Flourescent red.
Flourescent yellow.
and maybe
Flourescent green.

Should one go with the:
Splash,
Flames,
Fading,
or
Peeling effect paint scheme?

At this moment I have no clue on wish way to go. I might just leave the body clear, but then the aim with this build was as if I was one of the driver bitd...

Would really appreciate your thoughts on this.
Whats your thought on early 1990's buggy paint schemes?

Love what you did with the standoffs. I wish I could have the same done for my replica.

I came across this Masami body on facebook one day. I don't care for it that much, but wanted to share. I'm not sure what you should go with. Something iconic I'm thinking.
