Project: Truck To Buggy Conversion
I know I'm a late bloomer here, but I thought a WOIN build would be fun. I'll post pics as I go. I have most of the parts needed, just need the time to put it all together. I'm using the usual parts that everyone else seems to use... why re-invent the wheel when the research has already been done, right?

Finally got around to trimming the tub yesterday.

Haha... Yeah, I trimmed the chassis in the basement under my wife's veggie gardening grow lights...marlo wrote:Great start!, and nice job cutting the chassis down, but I think the purple fade has bled from the chassis, straight into the whole pic

Looks good so far. Don't do too good a job or you'll never run it! ( ask me how I know )

Re: Project: Truck To Buggy Conversion
Finally an update! Since this will be my everyday runner, I couldn't justify the cost (or prep work) to anodize my tub so I went with "canodizing" instead.

Re: Project: Truck To Buggy Conversion
A little further now... anybody know if the RC10T rear hinge pins are shorter than the original RC10? The ones I'm using here are RC10 and a little long....

Yes, the RC10 (early version) and RC10T/late RC10 use different rear inner hinge pins. Trucks and late buggies (and re-re) are shorter.

Re: Project: Truck To Buggy Conversion
Thanks for the insight. I had the arms off the original 10T I started with, but got rid of them already. Ugh... guess I need to find some new pins now.JK Racing wrote:Yes, the RC10 (early version) and RC10T/late RC10 use different rear inner hinge pins. Trucks and late buggies (and re-re) are shorter.
