The last New Fibre-Lyte carbon tub

Post by Peakey »

This started at the end of last year I was helping welshy40 find some parts for his Nix91 and he said he had a carbon tub that was made by Fiber-Lyte for him some years ago, he had forgot about it and had been sat in a cupboard ever since. So after a bit of negotiation on some parts I had the tub had a new home with me :D ever since seeing Asso mans tub I've wanted one.

So with the tub sorted I turned my attention to the other parts and with Asso's experience with these he was my first port of call. And I ended up with a nose plate, toweres and a trans brace. Now I've got all the chassis parts together I've now got to figure out where to go with the rest of it.

It make take a while due to lack of funds but I can take my time to decide where to go with the build, I was thinking of an all black car but I'll see what turns up.

I'll take sugestions and opinions :D

Very nice, why do you call it "The Last New"?

I always preferred a white finishing kit on a black tub

Because Fiber-Lyte are adamant they won't make anymore and this was posted out of the factory this year so I think I'm safe to call it the last

It got made for me a while ago and due to the relationship ive got with them if I didnt need at the time tended to get shelved for a later date. At the time i was more focussed on my 4wd and forgot it was sitting in their warehouse until last year when they found it with my name on, so sent it on and then ended up with Justin.

Also pictures dont do it justice, it looks even better in your hands. I think this is going to become a work of carbon fibre art.

It is so nice to look at in hand James hit the nail on the head by saying the pics really don't do it justice. Well I think it looks like it's gonna have to me white parts then  I can't disappoint the masses

I've had a similar project in the pipeline for a while... including the FL tub and a few more ;)

It's in the "waiting list" atm... like most of my projects

So I'll watch this one with interest!
