parts i.d

Post by moj »

just picked this up,given it a quick clean up went to fit a std body that came with another car and found it wouldnt fit over the rear shock tower i thought it was a late edinger or earlier cadillac (from reading the 25 year thread) front and rear shock towers are thicker than my other goldpan and have a sharper feel to them is this an aftermarket shock tower or one that requires another body? also ive seen this front bumper before is it std?

The rear tower looks like an MIP aftermarket tower. Front looks stock.

Couple different manufacturers of bumpers but not stock.

Hi,

The front bumper was made by CRP, Custom Racing Products, part # CRP3030.

Cheers, Dave. :)

You just need to cut the ears on the body a little deeper, but I would just rest the body on top of the tower. Protech or Turbo Mirage will work fine!

what Rod said. Also, something is going on with the rear suspension, or it's the picture; it's seems you have some pretty good sag back there. fully loaded, with suspension neutral(bounce up and down a few times to settle) the rear arms should be close to parallel with ground. maybe the shock shafts are short, or there is too many limiters/wrong size?
