I ran a team car in "buggy" class on a flat carpet (tc) track years ago. Finding proper wheels and tires might be the biggest challenge unless you do the wheel conversion. They can do shockingly well with just a proper setup, but a lot of faster people changed parts and went to a zero kickup nose plate. You will need some stiff springs and heavy (40+) shock oil to begin with. The geometry gets funky when you lower it, so (now that they are available 3d printed) a lowering kit would be a good idea. Good luck!

If you can, get or make a flat nose with no kickup. An easy and cheap alternative that will get you part of the way there is the 15 degree caster blocks 6213.

I'd start the shock oil at 40 minimum. Limit down-travel and add some shock limiters, start around 4-5. Depends on how big of bumps (if any) you have on track. If it's super smooth surface you'll REALLY appreciate heavy oil and a tied-down suspension even in a vehicle designed for off-road bumps.

Too low of a ride height hurts performance, arms level or a few mm below is all you need. If you want to lower the CG use smaller diameter tires if allowed like Custom Works or such. With suspension 5wt heavier and a spring rate or two heavier is also all you need. Too stiff and you start to take traction away. If the car wants to slide and becomes skatey it generally has too little droop and or is too stiff. The sweet spot is when the car rotates well from the corner entry to exit without oversteering or scrubbing too much corner speed.
