1.5 B

Post by DennisM »

I´ve built a 1.5 buggy with the T2 chassis and a buggy noseplate.
It´s a bit too long for the std. length body - any suggestions on a body with a better fit?

I believe Scr8p always shortens the tub for that reason. I've wondered though if a JConcepts J82 body would work since they're meant to fit the T4.

Thanks Phin -
If I can´t find anything more "vintage", I´ll try that one.

How about the B2 or B3, weren´t they produced as long chassis versions?

I shorten the tub on mine so that it's the same length as a standard rc10 tub (to keep a buggy wheelbase). It also cures the body length issues at the same time.

I highly doubt a b2/b3 body will fit since the front of the tub is much wider than a b2/b3 chassis. I always use the viper, mainly to stay AE, but it fits the front and tub side nicely. The rear shock tower is a little bit of an issue but it can be worked around.

I know someone on here used some sort of 4wd buggy body on their's that seemed to fit fairly well, but I can't remember who it was.

Thanks for the input Scr8p - Can I ask You what Your Wheel base is?

When compared against a 10B, my wheel base is only app. 6mm longer.
I can move the rear shocktower to the frontside of the bulkhead, which would put the body closer to the front.

If it's only 6mm I'm going to guess that the rear arm mounts on your rc10 are moved back for long wheelbase?

My b1.5's are the same as a stock rc10 buggy set up for a short wheelbase. The t2 tub gets shortened about 3/8" or so.

Thanks, You´re right about the 10B being set at long wheel base.

I like how the "RC10" is broken and falling off.

That looks great, I like the paint. What are the front rims?

Thanks for the kind words - I´m blank on the front rims. Could they be Balistic Buggy?
