RC10 bell crank bushings
I managed to crack the steering bell crank with a high speed cart wheel on my vintage team car. I talked to associated and the design has obviously updated the design in the last 25 years. I emailed and they said i could uae the new design with no issues. So I ordered them (part 6254) and set out to get the rig running so I could try the new 3s battery.
Well, the original set up just used a washer at the base, and a nylon nut at the top to secure it all. The new one looks to need bushings (the re release uses part 6630). Is that the part I need? Is there anything I can pick up at a lhs or home depot to get it running today? I dont think the hobby stores around here will carry that part.

You will need bushings or bearings, they are 1/4 x 3/8 flanged.
It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas

If you cant find the bearings, I recommend AvidRC.com for bearings. The bushings work fine, with some fiddling, polishing and test fitting.

Re: RC10 bell crank bushings
The bronze bushings in this case almost seem to be placeholder until bearings are purchased. Bronze riding on plastic is FAR from ideal. They would have been better off making bushings out of a dissimilar hard plastic like whatever the shock bushings are made out of. Even then, bearings are best by far.
Support your local hobby store and buy four bearings from them. Or get them online for about a buck each.

Well, it looks like no local place has any n the correct size. I have called all the ones that I know of. do I need 3/8 x 1/4 x 1/4? I should have just order the JC concepts ones that came with everything, lol.

Re: RC10 bell crank bushings
As GoMachV said above, what you need are four 1/4" x 3/8" flanged bearings. Width is 1/8". These are the same as RC10 Classic rear axle bearings.

Prices are all over the place if you use eBay, but they are easily available.
