For those cutting off the back of the body.........
How are you guys mounting the back half of the body, when you cut the rear end off? Is there a nice and neat way to add a body clip to the front of the shock tower?
As it sits, the back of the front half, sits squashed between the shock tower and the wing. It's a snug fit, but still manages to pop out going around the track. So I'm looking for other ideas.
Here it is with the front half slipped under the wing, but it still pops out. I'd like to leave the Jconcepts wing mounts, so I'm not always pulling the wing off to remove the body.

On my towers there is a hole centered and you can use a rc10t rear body mount or one of the newer car mounts. Install it with the post facing forward

I use velcro on the backside of chassis that faces the rear suspension

All good ideas. I do have an RC10T body mount (since this started as an RC10T), so I'll try that first. Depending on the results, I'll try the velcro.
The only thin I dislike about velcro is that it distorts the body during removal. My B4 was a pain until I pulled the velcro and went back to stock mounts. But, they also had WAY too much velcro on there.

So, miraculously, I found the body post that would work, and it worked beautifully. There was already the center hole in my shock tower for it, and everything lines up better than I could have hoped.
Photobucket is broken at the moment, but I'll post pics when it comes back up.

OK, here's the pics. I hate cutting the back of the old style bodies off, but man does it make changing batteries easier. Plus, this one actually gets used, and the other two vintage RC10's don't.

I used a RC10T body post with a stock hole in the carbon works rear RC10 Worlds tower
