I've never heard HPI thinking they invented anything. I think everyone knows gas powered R/C's have been around forever. Heck, even Traxxas had that gas powered buggy back in the 90's was it? The three most popular old manufacturers that come to...
Canvassing interest in the creation of a 1/8th scale RC10 project.
Technology has come a long way and thought there could be interest in such an idea. I'm thinking that the smart minds on this forum could design an appropriate larger-sized RC10....

Fred and Morten have been working on this 1/5 for a few years now. 1:8 would be cool as well.
This is mostly fantasy.....but I think it would be pretty awesome if they did.
Do you think it would sell??
I bet it would.....n I'm sure it would create huge hype....

Those are whats in these days. My buddys been bugging me for a few years to get a Baja. The Losi 4wd is the hottest thing right now. If I remember correctly, like a year ago when the Losi 1/5 first came out they were in such demand they were selling...

Found my Egressified RC10 pics from 2017 inspired by the J82. OCRC. I should have gone way more when it was around.

That sounds like a lot of work for one interested person :| pity there is not more interest in this shape.
Are 1/8 scale shock too big for a 1/10 scale buggy?
Has anyone done this? Or has a 1/8 shocks to test on a RC10 or other?
Let me know what you know.
Thanks you.

Well, my thought are more along the lines of putting 1/8 scale buggy shock on something like an RC10Truck. Some of these 1/8 shock are more or less the same length as rear 1/10 and If I make a solid aluminum chassis for a truck it might get heavy...
Dangerous thing, but I got to thinking today while browsing eBay. Has anyone tried fitting current 10th scale big bore springs to older 8th scale shocks...? I know most were a 13mm inner bore but I wonder if the spring diameters would be close...
