RC10 Powder Coated Chassis

Can anyone put a finger on when the Associated Powder Coated Chassis were released, I recently acquired one and would like to rebuild it, but im not sure what period correct parts to use, thank you for the help.

I believe they coincided with the 'release' of the RC10ST, a prototype that had a fluorescent chassis.

Has anyone done World's style milling on a powder coated chassis? A buddy of mine asked if I would mill his but we are afraid the powder coating may get messed up at the sides of the milled areas? Anyone have any experience with this?

so i scooped this from treehugger in the BST thinking i'll build it then flip it to make funds for better parts for the cars i already own. i grabbed a lot of diff ultima parts in a recent ebay purchase. the dude had a jg oval chassis set up going...

I remeber we used to do similar things to kyosho arms bitd to make them a little more flexible so the car got easier to drive on rough tracks.

Need your help guys,
Anybody know what RAL numbers the powdercoat have on the old Associated chassis.
Could it be RAL 3024 or 3026 on the fluorescent red?
Any guesses on the other colors?

I pick this up a few years ago was on the back burner. The shocks were all powder coated 24k gold. The rear wing was missing the top pieces.

I got another $17 CF 200x300mm, 2mm from China coming, probably will do custom chassis,Top Plate, Motor...

Thanks Guys, I think 2mm is about right for 1/10 scale especially if a double decker design. The HPI I did is very stiff. 2.5mm~3mm is good for 1/8 scale. My 1/8 scale inferno blue chassis upgrade is only 2.5mm from 2mm stock.
