FINALLY OWN ONE!!! My $238 Vintage/Classic Mutt RC10 Build

Post by jaeger »

Hello all! I'm finally the proud owner of an RC10 buggy! Been wanting one since my early teens. Now with a family, home, job, etc. I was able to scrape up $250 to be set aside for an RC10 project. Then the wait... waiting and watching - eBay, classifieds, yard sales for one in just the right condition to set it up just the way I want to.
Then I found her on eBay for $148

$90 worth of accessories later (stickers, hardware, driver figure, etc) ...

I actually really like the Detonator body but I think I might like a smaller wing. Does anyone maybe have a picture of a Detonator body with the Vintage/Classic wing?

Very classy in the green and gold. May have to do a paint job following that. :o

Thanks!! I lucked out on the new painted body that came with the auction. The original body was pretty beat up

The picture actually looks 100 times better than the actual body which was tears and cracks all over the place. The section behind the shock tower almost broke off when I took it out of the shipping box

Nice score for $150! Post some body off pics! What electronics did you outfit it with? Would love to see detailed pics of the sway bars!

Very nice man. Welcome to the group of insanely immature toy car collectors. We're all living our childhood all over again here. And we refuse to grow up.
