Haha! No, just the 3rd. I'm still trying to decide which car I want to run in 2wd. I made them too nice and now I don't want to run either of them.

I thought about finishing up the red rc10 I was building for the '09 event. I was still sick back then and couldn't make it so i kinda lost interest in completing it. It's close though.... and the body is already painted. I have the rear shocks, just really need turnbuckles and some bearings.

Don't say such things!

Would you sell your chassis cut down services? I wouldn't mind a slick chassis like that for VONATs.

Well, I had money set aside for the trip. Then I ended up having my gallbladder removed at the end of March. Missed a few weeks of work and needed the money for bills. I haven't been able to but any of it back yet because now the hospital bills are coming in. And my dog has cost me like $500 the last couple weeks at the vet. Already being a 1/3 of the way through July, and now since the race moved to MA I'll need an extra night at the hotel. Right now..... it's not looking all that good.

Oh man, that sucks... Should start a gofundme page. :)

If I wasn't in such bad shape at my house (with home renovations), I'd ask the "boss" if you could crash in our guest room... but that's a staging room for renovations now... :( Although i'm still 45min from RCE.

No gofundme stuff for me.

My cousin lives in Littleton (30 min from the track). Worse comes to worst, I'll see if the wife and I can crash there for a few days. They moved up there 2 years ago, and from what I hear, they have more than enough room. Just don't want to have to do that.

OK, got this thing close to roller status the last couple of days. I still need to tackle the trans but that shouldn't take long. I also made a front bumper for it. I'm not spending a whole lot of time or money on it. Just kinda throwing it together with what I have laying around here to have something to run on Saturday at the Vonats.

Looking good. Yeah, I was thinking I need to get something to run the other day too. But I figure I should finish one car before beginning the next.

My 2wd for Sunday has been ready for months. Then I built another one because I didn't want to beat it up. Now I don't want to beat that one up either. Don't think I have the money to do another one that's not quite as nice.

hahaha. know that feeling... That's how i justified my 5th Worlds ReRe kit... I needed one that could just be a runner and wasn't a "project build"... I may also use the same reason should I have a chance at another kit... :D

Alright, It's basically ready. Ignore the tire/wheels, just needed to rip it around a little bit after the electronics install.

Speaking of the electronics, goin' old school. Using my trusty old KO EX-5 radio system and Tekin 411p that I got back in '91. I'm hoping the esc doesn't go "poof" during the 8 minute main with the lipo.

I have to bend up some wing wire and mount a wing yet.

you really need to paint up some bodies for people. You've got the 'vintage' eye for it. That kind of vintage look is was what I was hopin Andy would get back into. That looks great btw... 8)
