Shocks are Kyosho Black Kelron, non rebuildable (well, easily anyway) cheapies.
Shock cups have the shaft guards. I think RPM makes some, they are modern so I don’t pay much attention

Darn, I was hoping for more of a challenge and something unique. Those will be going in the round bin. I agree on the modern, I am paying just enough attention to keep my B6 on track but nothing more.
Oh wow, yep Phin is right. I didn’t realize they looked that much like a kyosho Black. The pic of the MT I looked up showed those shaft guards too. Neat

Can you just see the HPI manager banging his head on the wall screaming “I said copy the GOLD shock”

If anyone here owns a Kyosho V One, I'd love to know some exact specs on the spring cups for the shocks. What diameter of spring do they retain, and what is the diameter of the shock shaft hole in the retainer?
My question is did the original white spring cups, and clamps #6474 ever come in black. I know the B2/T2 are black with same part number, but are the updated part type.
Any help would be appreciated. I'm sure I've seen them, but faded memories tend...

Well, the 620 5 was never sold in black, but also it's mislabeled as a 620 6 also. Lots of fail there

Thanks jaeger for asking a special part. This was a nice tiny project.
There are now two different height versions available. 8mm and 9mm.
I purchased a used Tamiya Blackfoot many years ago and it ended up boxed up in the attic as it was when I got it. I have started to clean it up and repair/replace parts in effort to run it again. The truck had these green shocks installed in the...

Thanks! I was not aware Trinity made/sold shocks and it looks like this was happening while I was actively racing. From what I found on the dirt-burners site they were color coded for application and the green ones are for the Blackfoot.
Anyone recognise these towers? They look roughly like the Pavidis WCS towers & brace but are different in the detail:
I'm guessing they're from the last version of the YZ-10, about 1997? Looks like the front shocks would use longer shafts than...

Yep, that's correct Erik!
Chipping in on the threat if you don't mind
I have a nip of that front tower in fiberglass, not dyed black of course
I have no reference to compare for thickness, but it looks pretty firm and the part nr is:...
What are you guys doing for YZ10 shock spring cups?
In trying to get my suspension correct, I realized that the spring cups on the front hit the arms. I have two styles of spring cups, one I ordered from Associated, and they both hit the arms in...

Got those, now. Thanks!
Now, how about shock balls? The Associated balls look to be way too big.
