Post by hugger19 »

all parts on the build are andys all the way including the body, but i did use a&l steering and a a&l rear shock tower. wanted to do this one for a while and it came out very nice :)

you should really be using rc10 truck wheels on that (proline, hpi, a&l, etc.). the offset of the 10t wheels are way too negative for that suspension.

I had exactly this idea for my Andy's rc10 and Proline truck conversion but II'm struggling to make the rear wheels fit, I guess I'll work it out.

What's the struggle? I have prolines on my buggy conversion and they are a direct fit. Are you trying to use blackfoot wheels with adapters?

No it's a bonifiedy Proline (or it could be JG  ) conversion but I'm not 100% sure it's not a JRX2 one, the rear axles just seem too short.

I'll start my own thread rather than hijack this one if I can't work it out, in all honesty I haven't put a lot of effort into it yet.

some used special wing nuts, my Prolines do not but the conversion kit that was sold had special ones that are inset into the wheel a bit

Yep that be the solution.

I'm not currently working on that project, when I get to it I'll throw up a wanted thread for them.

Thank you Sir :D

u mean they rub the arms a little? they do a little, but just took a exato knife and took a little of the inside lip of the wheel and all ok. plus i used a button head screw so it gave me a little more room for the wheels.

Looks goofy to be honest... But, goofy isn't the word I want to use.

I remember my kindergarten teacher saying something about "if you don't have anything good to say..."

Hugger19,

A nice piece of rare RC10 history, I am glad to have been able to see it.

I look forward to see it painted, it will look killer!

Cheers, Dave.

my last upgrade lol. so real fast recap. used a andys truck chassis, andys truck frt shock tower, andys truck frt body mount, andys frt bumper, andys rear bulkhead, andys batt cup, andys steering, andys inner rear mounts, andys frt bulkhead, andys body and andys frt caster blocks. the rear shock tower is a a&l tower and stock rc10t frt/rear arms. . as u can see the frt of the truck sits up a little high, i think i used 4 rear rc10 shocks insted of proper rc10t shocks.
