Breaking in the motor this weekend. Running it with no load, at 1/4 throttle for five minutes or so. The Novak esc works well with the newer 2.4GHz Futaba receiver. I set the 4pl radio to normal fhss mode instead of s-fhss mode as per instructions.

The servo that came with the chassis is a Futaba s3003 rated at:

Torque: 4.8V: 44.00 oz-in (3.17 kg-cm) 6.0V: 57.00 oz-in (4.10 kg-cm)
Speed: 4.8V: 0.23 sec/60° 6.0V: 0.19 sec/60°

So I will definitely need to upgrade the steering servo. I see a lot of folks using a Savox SC1251MG servo with a glitch buster on the RC10T-T2 trucks, so I think I will try one of those out. Are there any issues with using one of those servos with the Novak 610-RV esc?

I had no need for a glitch buster using a hobbywing xerun justock esc with the Savox. You will just need to try it first and see if you need the extra capacitor or not.

Thanks Eric. That's good to know about the XR10 esc. It has a 6V-2A BEC. I'm using one in my RC10 World's car. The Novak 610-RV I will be using in the RC10T2 has a 5V-0.5A BEC. I'm leaning towards the chance I would have to use a glitch buster cap with it, or maybe even a CC bec 2.0 voltage regulator. I'm not sure if I want to go through with all of that though. So, I might have to look for a different servo that will work within the esc's bec specs.
