Shock pivot ball
Trying to build up a heavy duty front end for a 7035 truck from extra white nylon parts. I tried to use a common shock pivot ball and it won't fit in the arm mount slot. I know there are are 2 or 3 different white nylon arms. These are the thicker arms with more webbing. I even dug out a manual and the commons are what is shown. Don't want to be the kid that keeps trying to put the square block in the circle hole and gouge the arms. Any help would be great.

Re: Shock pivot ball
It appears that your balls are too big.
I have the early thin white arms in front of me. Both the ball and slot are roughly 5 mm. Looks like your arms measure a tad small.

Re: Shock pivot ball
its hard to read the caliper, but that looks like the balls are .025" too thick. I'd probably sand them down on my belt sander most of the way on the 'flange' side, and the arm can probably open up just a little bit too.
check some other balls if you have them, you might have a couple of them machined oversize.

Re: Shock pivot ball
Found a couple RPM derlin pivots I'm going to try. Thanks for measuring them to compare.
