DS resto.....

Post by thodgez28 »

So in beginning my plan I am realizing that there are no tires.....lol should have read more threads. So as I understand... The sc10 front turnbuckles fit and just get a hex clamp for rear axles and then I cause modern wheel/tire combo?

Great post but mine is not a nitro and the sc10 hub has been discontinued. Wondering about other solutions?

thodgez28, It doesnt matter whether the DS is nitro or electric, we are talking about the front end, which is the same for both electric and nitro.

As for the proline conversion hub, yes thats been discontinued....but you can use the hub from the associated sc10 2wd truck.

You need to enlarge the hinge-pin hole to accommodate the larger DS pin. i used a drill bit and spun it slowly. I used various sizes till i got the hole large enough for the pin to fit good.

now if you search this on ebay "Associated SC10 RS 2wd Front Axle Caster Block 12mm Hexes Rear Carrier Bearings", you can find a set; I just finished purchasing two sets for a couple of projects i got going.

This is a set on my electric DS Lambo
