you can actually measure the pitch by measuring between teeth pretty easily as well. but you need to measure at the root of the tooth.
32 pitch, well, 32 teeth to 1 inch, so 1/32 between teeth. this is for diametrical pitch gears.
Can anyone tell me what the gear pitch is on a stealth transmission? I’m converting a Championship Edition to brushless, and wanting to get a few pinion gears to try out. Thanks for any info.

Should be smoother but I can't say how much of a benefit the Thorp 64p gears actually produced. Main reason for using 64p gears is you can fine tune gear ratios...but that doesn't really come into play with the gears inside the transmission, only...

I have been 3d printing gears for the cougar 2000 and can now say it is not 48dp and actually 0.5MOD.
I just found another blast from the past, in one of my boxes.

I have the complete thorp 48p setup and the outdrive bearing mod (with inner bearing removal from outdrives) in my red pan/American flag rc10 build. There are faqs on it in the temple tech section if you search.

A larger spur allows you to use smaller pinions and still reach the spur. Doing so will bring the final ration for both closer agian, so that makes sense.
My guess: the overdrive kit was intended for stock moters.
