I'd compare with a rear axle to see if the pitch lines up. You can lay threads together and if they are the same pitch, the threads will interlock, even with different pitch diameters. It looks to me like maybe it's 6-32. you could see if the rear axle 8-32 threads line up, or a 4-40 screw lines up to give you a clue what the pitch might be.

6-40 is an odd size anywhere, not just europe. Not used in many places.

While I have a set of these axles, mine are not for inline blocks. However, they use a metric thread that looks much different than 6/40. Do you have any nuts from a Blackfoot front axle to try?

You could always just drill out an all nylon nut to be close and form new threads with brute force!

Well it's not metric. The standard's on the left in the pic and the JG on the right.
The pitch is the same , but its bigger so I think it's the rare 6/40. I think I just go with the newer ones in Alu. on the Team car.

Did those come in a JG package or did you get them loose? Look more like Thorp Heavy Duty or CRP axles since the JG (like the ones pictured in the original post) are longer than stock and fit 5mm bearings.

Doesn't really solve your nut question though. I think Harvey offered the best alternative solution with using nylon nuts. :)

Here is the head card for em.
Absolutely, nylon nut will work, but you know it's not quite right
