B2 servo saver

Post by R Cane »

The RC10B2 #9155 black servo saver parts - did anyone ever make an alloy upgrade?
If not, does anyone know of one made for different kit that would work?

To the best of my knowledge no metal one.
You could check the Thunder Tiger ST/BX part, but that is quite different...

The last 2 stock sets I've gotten haven't impressed me much. One of the parts, when I popped it off of the "tree", left a chunk of the part still on the tree. Seemed very brittle, and didn't give me any confidence that it would take abuse from running the car...

You can always get a shapeways drawing done as they now do alloy prints so may be worth a go.

Can you not use parts from another car in the RC10 family? So many parts either interchange, or can be modified slightly to work.

b2 is tough; small area, tight confines and unique layout. no parts are readily swappable from other models.

I have multiples of the earlier metal pan RC10's, and I know no of those will work on the B2. I don't have any of the newer ones (yet), so I didn't know if any of those were workable. :)

Are the B2's shorter than an RC10's servo saver? I bought a set of GPM cranks for a Losi Street Weapon to use on a RC10 Terminator build that I wanted to rotate the servo on. The holes were pretty close:

You might also be able to mode the SW cranks to work. Add new holes/file them down. For ~$7 shipped they might be worth a try.

One note though...I think the bearings for the SW cranks are 8mm outer diameter. Close enough to 5/16" that you can use them though.
