Worlds Re Re Battery strap options

Post by RRD »

I have a worlds re re and I would like a carbon fibre battery brace.

My question is what are the options?

Do I need a full length brace for modern Lipos?

I have never used Lipos before and I suppose linked to this question is the pros and cons of shorty packs?

Will a B4 or B5 carbon brace fit?
I quite like the look of the shorter JConcepts monaco (B5 fitting I think) ones but was wondering would they fit?

Cheers

I think there's a few folks on the misc FB RC10 groups that make custom battery braces. Don't recall names off the top of the head. Probably a few folks here too. Some are probably the same folks. lol.

Depends if you're running a full lipo stick or shorty. And where the connectors are... bullets on the top corners or a lead out the side/corner...

Shorties are smaller/lighter... so you can shift the weight around if you want on the newer cars. And with some ingenuity, do it with the older RC10s too. Depending on your end goal... racing or fun or a mix... that could dictate what you'd do. A full size in a big mah / lower C-rating can be had for a very reasonable price. The shorties are more geared to the modern racing crowd and tend to be smaller mah but higher C-rating.
