to run the T-4 rims you have to convert over to 3/16 axles or cvd's.

I just received a set and they look really nice. I have not mounted any tires or tried them on a chassis yet, but I will post pics when I do. Shipping took little more than a week, and the seller is very helpful and nice.

I spoke to Don from Team Associated and he informed me that when Associated joined with Thunder Tiger, they took over the B3 and call it the Phoenix BX, available through Ace Hobby. http://www.acehobby.com/ace/TTR6526.htm

He told me to use the following parts to use the Phoenix BX wheels (B3) on my original gold pan buggy. Phoenix BX catalog: http://www.acehobby.com/ace/PDF/Car/6526-F%20PHOENIX%20BX%20catalog.pdf

Front... part# PD8977 Rim ,Associated #3977 bearings (4)

Rear... part# PD8982 Rim, PD8967 axles, PD7099 hub carrier, PD7101 pins, PD8964 top shaft spacer, PD7322 shims,
Associated #3977 bearings (4)

I found the above parts available on RC planet. http://www.rcplanet.com/

I haven't tried this yet so this is for your information only.

Have set on my soon to be runner with proline tires. Not sure if they are nylon rims.

Those look good. I hope mine get here in time for the upcoming race so I can give them some track testing.

I sent a request to JCRacing to see if I could dye these wheels and recieved a reply stating that they are nylon and are not dyeable as they add a colored dye to the raw nylon in the mold process.

I've bought 4 sets of the JC Racing wheels for my RC10 Team car for bolt on 2.2 wheels.
Couldn't be happier.

With the choice of Black, Flouro Yellow and White, they'll go with any colour body.

Anyone know if these rims cause shock clearance issues? Will my tire rub on the shock when I use the outside shock mounting hole?

thanks much

I assume you mean the JC Racing wheels... If so, no clearance issues whatsoever.
See the attached photo's... My shock is mounted in the outer lower hole and is sitting against the shock tower outside edge (I figured since there was still clearance, it was good enough for the photo without having to remount the shock on the outside top hole).

Still at least 3mm of clearance to the rim/tyre.

Yes those tyres are supposed to be bald - Panther slicks (http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXNPY0&P=7) :)

Thanks for the photos, I was asking about the JC Racing wheels. Nice post
Looks like I'll have to get a set of these. Would be real nice to use the 2.2 tires. It appears JC Racing sells a "set" of both fronts and rears together. Good deal
These are the Pro-line tires I want to use.

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXYUV2&P=7

They are 43.18mm wide, only 2.18mm wider than your Panther slick.

Another question...please

What bearing is used in the front? To fit the JC Racing front wheel to a RC10 Buggy front axle.

Is it the 3/16 x 5/16 inch fanged?

If you are talking about J-Concept wheels they are not the correct offset at all. The tires you have on there are very narrow and the Proline holeshot 2.0 will not fit without rubbing.

The best thing to do is get the Thunder Tiger Phoenix wheels.

I believe Greebo has the JC racing wheels, not the J-concepts wheels. very confusing because the names are so similar.

JC racing is out of the UK and have re-tooled and are manufacture wheels again, and they fit well.

JConcepts makes wheels for B4/B44 and need the appropriate mods to fit those on a gold pan.
