Coming down to the end of the the line with the 62 Bubble Top resto. Doing the final polish, clean-up, touch up, stuff like that. I still have to get the wheels painted that will be going on it though, but the car doesn't have to be here for that.

And since i'm updating this thread a bit....

The 72 442 we're building is coming along. The body and outer sheet metal is all basically ready for paint. Though, I think I want to get the chassis restored and put back together first, then worry about the body stuff.
IMG_20160521_105747713.jpg
We also go a new build in, a 70 Chevelle (non SS). Needs a whole lot of work. New quarters, inner and outer wheel wells, trunk floor, trunk drop offs, rear body panel, panel between back glass and trunk lid, complete passenger compartment floor, outer rockers (and most likely inners), a hood, 2 fenders, 2 doors, and a trunk lid. It's way more work than this car deserves being as though it's not an SS, but the guy wants it done, so....
IMG_20160527_102108283.jpg
It's already had a bunch of "quality" work done to it (panel replacement and rust repair), which all needs to be replaced.

And now the reconstruction starts. Fitting the new outer and inner wheel wells, getting the old trunk floor out, sliding the new one in, cleaning off the rest of the quarters, etc.....

That's where it's at right now. Still waiting for the panel between the back glass and trunk lid to come in to really go any further.

I honestly don't know. I can't remember the name on the stickers. But, we got everything from Lehigh Valley Chevelle.

Seeing the amount of work you did to that Chevelle in three post makes it look so easy. I agree you do some killer work. Wish I had the talent and patience to learn body work.

Wow!!! That 62 is insane! That's absolutely perfect, the way I would have wanted one. Must win the lottery. Looking forward to progress on that Chevelle.

Well, my dad's Henry J is basically all done. Got it running on monday and took it out on it's maiden voyage. Had to get the front end lined up and state inspection on Tuesday. So she's all legal now. Gonna take it to a cruise night on friday after work, then it's firts show up at the old Pocono Drag Lodge on Saturday.

It gets up and goes. Big motor in a fairly light car. 8)

Yeah, haven't lined them up yet. They're old T3 headlights and each one has a broken post. So we can't hang the gauges on them. Didn't notice it until they were in, so we'll have to swap them out at some point. Then we'll find out how low they can go.
