Very nice shop Jeff. Now you just need a Mini Mill to go with the Lathe:)

I worked on lighting today! Finally bit the bullet and went LED. It was going to be $24 for a new fixture to match the old one, or $70 a pop for a new LED flush mount set from Lowes. I nabbed two 8) they are set up for wiring to a box above the light, and in a shop that doesn't work (well, if I had known I could have put in boxes) so I drilled and added some 16/3 cord. They have an odd 2 second delay when turned on but WOW...they are bright. Each tube for my old set was 32w, this is 40w. Pretty stoked!

Awesome room! And good choice on the LED lights, I like them much more than incandescent or fluorescent.

Can you put a dimmer switch on any LED light, or does it have to be a special unit? I've been shopping lighting myself. I work quite a bit slower than you though!

Only some are dimmable, mine do not specify so it's doubtful. It should be more and more common the longer you wait tho! Haha

I have it on the lowest setting (600w) and the thermostat low, and I am in shorts and a T shirt. There is still ice outside, we are near freezing. I think the insulation was a success! 8)

I've been trying to devise a simple but effective tray for my misc metal scraps. I was thinking about having a nice piece of aluminum bent up, maybe cutting a pvc pipe in half.... Then it came to me. Gutters  pretty cheap and very effective

Cool setup Jeff.

In regards to the heater, If you've got it on the lowest setting and you're in shorts and T shirt. Turn it up and give us a "Farmer" style shot.
