I ran across this while at the storage unit yesterday so I snapped a couple of photos. This is the only board from BITD that I hung onto. A group of us guys used to ride the parking decks in downtown Atlanta and this was my "downhill board." I'd added those extra risers to give it more steering. We'd get going pretty fast and you DID NOT want to miss a turn, especially on the upper floors.

My son likes to tease me about how big it is, but I know he really wants it.

What would some of the manufacturers of the trucks been, circa 1987? I can't remember what I had on mine, they were fairly beefy (not lightweight, but high quality if I recall correctly).

Just wondering if say, I wanted to piece together a bit of my childhood from old parts on fleabay. :P

edit: Found it, google to the rescue and a thread on skateboard truck history, who would have thought. I had gullwing trucks (now that I read it I know that's what I had).

Also I thought this link was pretty cool. I enjoy reading through his ebay finds blog.

Rode boards when I was a kid, the kind that only have one front and one back. Never rode the dual tip boards. Still love the vintage stuff, but mainly ride longboards now like the red stripped Earthwing.

I never thought I would see that board again... I had only one in my life, and that was it. I can't remember where it was bought, but it would have been at towers, or consumers, or something along that line. I never did get the hang of it, so it went to the curb years later. great flash back though...
Ha ha. The Nash Executioner. We called it the "Dragon". I never had one but I remember a few from around the "hood". Pretty sure the other version was just the colors inverted. We mainly used it for bike boarding: dog leash around the seat post with your buddy carving up the street behind you. Oh the speed wobbles......

Fast forward to '94 and I dabbled a bit. I sucked at ollies and I landed a kick flip. ONCE.
Hope you're doin' something fun.

That is awesome. A real blast from the past. I wish I could find some pictures. I had an Executioner but I don't remember it being lime green. My favorite board was my Iron Maiden "The Trooper". I had a couple more but can't think of them right off. I'm sure if I saw a picture or even a name it would flash right back.

It also came in neon orange and neon yellow if I remember correctly. Target had a line of skateboards also. I had "The Joker" and then later The Executioner like above. The Target line had 4 boards all different designs. The Joker had a skull on a playing card I believe. I can't remember any of the other 3. They weren't well made or anything, but they looked cool and they were huge. I wanna say they were $59.99. I can almost picture the ad that I had cut out and begged my parents with.

I'm sure it was yellow. I remember putting some wheels on it. Does something with slime in the name seem right?

This was my first full size skateboard....... right from the JCPenny Christmas Wish Book. It actually wasn't a bad skateboard, but the wheels were horrible. I ended up getting a set of OJ II 95a's for it, which eventually found their way on to my Gonz board. I still have the deck (in the upstairs of my parent's garage) and one of the trucks, but I used it as a poor boy's snowboard in winter and it's basically junk.
