I have been following Aron Waldron's tweets, and some LiveRC feeds for the racing.

Looks like you guys are having some fun down there. Post some links to some of the action if you can.

More pics maybe? Have a great time of it Rod!

Bummer you guys couldn't find each other. How many entries were there?

If I'm not mistaken there was 100 in 2wd open class, 100 in 4wd open and 30 in the invitational class. Plus you had all the team managers and other support members for each team, plus parents and friends, then all the spectators. It was crazy but damn it was a blast. I will be registering every year going forward in hopes of getting in again. The swag was cool to get especially the personalized car stands and chassis protectors. It was great meeting Rod his wife and son Cody. Cody was pretty good he bumped up to the next main if I'm not mistaken. Got to check out his NIX91 Cliff Lett replica. Pretty damn sweet and makes me want to build one even more now.

Great meeting you Rod,

Our day ended Saturday as we didn't make the main event for Sunday. I stopped by to finish watching the invite class on Sunday and see if I won anything in the raffle, but I don't think Rod and his family came by Sunday. I know they headed down to LRH Saturday afternoon.

Damn, LRH is minutes from my house, I would have went there in a heartbeat. Parking for the Reedy was a nightmare, I was at least a 10 minute walk to get to the shop/track.

Sorry I did no get to see you Joey! :( We were out of the action for late Saturday and Sunday, and I really wanted to drive. You have to remember, we have no off road tracks during the winter and most of the spring. So we went to LRH right after I finished my main, L I think? Man I suck! My son who just started last year even beat me!  We spent the Sunday at IERC. Anyway, LRH was a fun track to run on and the local guys were very nice compared to IERC. What really got us is the lack of marshaling during practice. You have to always marshal your own car. The way we do it in Calgary is run a pack and then go marshal for the same amount of time. Not so in SoCal!

Actually a track called Coyote Hobbies Indoor RC Raceway in Victorville CA was good for some marshaling. We hit this track for a few hours on the drive down from Vagas on Monday. We got to club race at 702 in Vagas on Sunday, what a great bunch of guys. The local Kyosho guys Mike and James were a big help to us, even lending tires to Cody and I! Great people in Vagas and good fun track, but slippery, I like that! 8)

So this cool guy Javier is pitting right near me, turns out he is a RC10Talk member! Got his pic for him with the Monster girls, five minutes later he is still chatting them up!

Even though I club race @ IERC, I prefer LRH. IERC just runs a vintage class (separate buggy and truck classes as well for vintage) - so they get me every other week. Once I get enough guys to make a class at LRH, I wont make the hour drive to IERC any more. Never been to Coyote or 702, but understand both tracks are really nice.

Just seeing this thread now for some reason. I lmao when I seen Cody's cock eyed buggy. Glad to hear you guys had a good time. The only reason Cody beat you was because of his paint job :P

Stop being lazy and post some more pics

Check out Javier trying to wrangle himself a 3-way! How was it??

First you invite both of them back to your place to have a nice little dinner with you and one of your buddies. When they get there you say "Aw man, my buddy just called and he's not gonna be able to make it, but I already made all this food so I'd love for you guys to stay and enjoy it with me.". As you're making "final preparations" for dinner start feeding them a couple of drinks so they loosen up and relax. And I do mean loosen up. As they start to get a little tipsy casually turn the conversation to sex. In general, don't bring up a 3-way or anything just yet. Once that gets going look at one that seems less adventurous and say "I can tell that you're the more adventurous one.". The other will be slightly jealous and miffed, but her insecurities will get the best of her and she'll be ready to prove you wrong and hopefully bring her friend along for the ride. After that things will get slightly uncomfortable and you'll need to let your eyes do all the talking. Timing is everything. Play your cards right and you'll be cooking enough eggs for 3 the next morning.

J/K
