If I could model my life after a movie character, it would not be Duece Bigalow.

Re: Career Advice
Austin Powers, maybe. His job looks fun at times and I bet he makes a descent salary. But I highly doubt the others make much dough, so no. Its not all about the Benjamins, but the more the merrier. Money may not buy happiness, but have you ever seen a sad person on a jet ski? I just want something realistic that I can enjoy, at least most days, and make a living. I just tested for a position with the DOH, so I'm hopeful that something will come of that.
I was watching a DIY show the other day, where there was a guy whose only job was to mix tiny amounts of paint to match granite countertops in order to hide the seams. How is that a viable job and why can't I find something like that in the classifieds??
What do think about drone flying for aerial photography, surveying or real estate, etc.? I can't see making enough money with that in my area, but does anyone make a living with that? Just curious.

The pros are already established working for TV & realestate; currently industry still wild wilderness but in coming years I forsee authorities clamping down heavily on regulations/licensing/noFly zones etc etc. Even sooner if there's any big mishap, then you'd lose all economical insurance coverage. What do think about drone flying for aerial photography, surveying or real estate, etc.? Re: Career Advice
Are you implying some people on this forum look at farmer's picture the same way they'd look at webcam girls and also do the same thing while looking at his picture?Coelacanth wrote:Well, you've got internet...how about being a webcam boy? I hear webcam girls make a lot of dough. And just look at the fame gained by farmer, right here on this forum, with just a single picture.matt1ptkn wrote:I don't think the escort would be a viable business venture for me. But thanks for the compliment!
*shudder*
*reaches for the brain bleach*
If that kind of escort is not an option, what about the other kind of escort? Being a bodyguard for someone (in)famous will probably also get you a lot of money, and maybe you can get them hooked on R/C cars too! The world is likely waiting for a song on RC10s by Justin Bieber...

Re: Career Advice
Well, its bittersweet, but I finally took a new job yesterday. Its going to be taking up a lot of my spare time for a while. Its with the State DOH, so it will be a steady and secure source of income. Just wanted to say thanks to those that provided suggestions, and I hope to still be around a couple times a week!
