Collecting parts for future builds
I've never been one to acquire all of the parts I needed to build a car at one shot. If I had enough stuff in hand to start building that is what I did. But, I enjoy doing the build threads and showing my progress over many many years so that's how I roll. For me, I'm far more interested in watching someone go through the build process than just seeing 4-5 pics of a completed car. I want to follow along on the journey.
With that being said, I have been trying to get better at gathering all of the parts I need for a few builds before I get started on them. So I'm interested to see some piles of parts that you guys are gathering for upcoming builds. This may be more directed at the guys that don't like stopping to take pics and just post pics of the end product. But it's open to everyone.

Re: Collecting parts for future builds
Guess I'll start.
Future B1.5 build. Sort of "factory team"...... or as a factory driver may have built it. The chassis parts will be redone in blue, as it was popular for guys to do it at that time. But other than some late RCPS turnbuckles (if i can ever find them) and CF towers, it will be a fairly straight forward build and probably look very similar to my first B1.5 build.
This one will eventually become a replica of Brian Kinwald's Stealth car from Detroit.

Re: Collecting parts for future builds
I've had these parts saved for years to do a SRB 4WD buggy. I did some test fitting on my MIP Baja Bug so i know my plan will work. Some day when I quit buying other projects this is going to be a nice buggy
Here is the body I plan to use. It's from a previous hopped up SRB build. The chassis was assimilated into other projects or sold off but I kept the body.
I may need to do some judicious trimming depending on which roll cage I go with
RCH Front suspension that I had annodized red
Rear suspension is an MIP trailing arm kit with MIP drive shafts and CRP axles
I have some vintage Kyosho dampers from the circut 1000 buggies with some CRP collars.
Transmission is a Hot trick transmission mount and a MIP transmission with ball diff and 4WD outdrives.
Of course a set of Tecnacrafts to finsh off the red theme

Re: Collecting parts for future builds
I wish I had a cool picture to contribute. The second I get a new part in the mail it's ripped from its bag and installed on the part it directly attaches to. I have no patience for building stuff.
