Very cool story. I thought it might be something like that. It's funny how a childhood impression can last over the years! When you get your first RC10, you will see what we are all excited about!

Yep, that's me. Holy smokes, you've got an awesome collection! And it also looks like you're partial to VW bugs?

Hey what's up guys. Been searching the net for an old RC-10 and that's how I found this site.

A little about me, name's Rob and I'm 37, married, father of three, one of which was just born this past week. I've recently moved to INDY from VA, and have recently gotten back into the racing scene again after taking a few years off.

I've been looking a bit on Ebay for a gold pan that I can call my own. I still have my old one from the late 80's, but it will probably cost an arm and leg to restore so I figured I'd look around and see what I can get.

I'm hoping that coming here to this site will give me the resources to make a little more educated purchases.

Hi everybody, name is Gabe and have within the past year got back into the Rc world.

Originally started back in Jr. High and into High School...brief resurgence around 01'

After that everything was in rather sad shape so they sat again until about this time last year when a friend rekindled the Rc fire :D

The past year has been a "year of restorations" and now all my old cars have a new lease on life.

Still working on a couple new to me older ones but thats pretty much it.

Have enjoyed looking at the site for inspiration during the past year...look forward to having more fun and will try not to be "invisible" anymore
Back at again because of a phone call..."Hey, how do you adjust those old Novaks?"
I have a RC channel on YouTube too...take a look at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCuAS9eDBj_wSIyl4JakUIzA Thanks :)

Hey fellers. Just joined and wanted to chime in...

My name is Tim and I hail from Smithfield, RI. My story is a common one. I got into RC back in 1986 or so. My best friend and I both got Monster Beetles at the same time. Then we wanted a higher quality car we could race together with, so I purchased a Kyosho Ultima, and he got a Gold Tub RC-10. I always envied the Gold Tub, and knew it was the superior car. I have always dreamed of one...

So, when I turned 16, sold all the RC stuff so I could buy a car. Fast forward 22+ years and I got bit by the bug. It's been a few years since I got back into RC, but when I picked up an original Bruiser and discovered Scale stuff, I was hooked (I'm a regular member over at Scale4x4RC forum). I have always wanted that Gold Tub RC-10 and have looked on and off, but knew I wanted one that was never run, or barely/lightly used. Last Tuesday I went to go purchase a Super Champ from a local guy, he mentioned that he was going to consider selling his old RC-10 that he built back in 1986. I took one look and had to have it. Barely used, with only a few scratches, and the original box, literature, and even the receipt from Tower Hobbies. So, here is where I stand today...
