Well here it is. Built for turf, so laydown conversion, exotek slipper eliminator, VRP aluminum front shock tower, 30g brass front arm mount and narrow front wheels. Oakley decal for Vintage touch. Noticed I used short shock eyelets on front shocks and set up called for long but seems local guys going for low as can be do that anyways in some cases so I will see when I get it on track.

Does the new B6 not use e-clips anymore?

Also why are there two size rear and front wheels now? I saw 61mm rear which is bigger than the 2.2” right? I get the thin front wheels for carpet racing.

Also for official racing 2W buggies, does everyone have to have the same turn engines? Same size tires? How does that work?

There are no e-clips. Suspension pins are held in by retaining screws. My track does not regulate 2.2 vs. 2.4 tires just motors by class. In my pic I have narrow wheels with normal size width front tires on them, they look odd when you glue them but work. I believe Schumacher and others now are even making a specific narrow tire for the slimmer front wheels.

Just drove “my sons” B6 Club Racer today for the first time. It was awesome!!!! I thought it handled really well. After tightening the diff way past the directives in the setup booklet it really started to show some promise. I will begin to look into gearing and try and figure out how to get more steering out of it. I also have the battery almost all the way back right now. Keep playing with it. The disclosure to these statements is that I bought this rig for my 11 year old. I wanted to have it set up before releasing it to him. I haven’t driven an RC car in about 25 years so today was a blast for me.

Does it make more sense to get the B6 over the B6D? It seems most tracks are either carpet or hard clay, so wouldn’t a lay down tranny make sense? I guess getting the D and converting it works too...

I also noticed you don’t have all your tie rods in the same direction?

My thoughts at first exactly. However Carpet is way different. I would say though that a lot of guys run a lay down. I’m sure it is mostly driver preference.
