I just got the B3/T3 rear hub carries in the mail yesterday! The good news is that my challenge of narrowing the rear track by 5-6mm seems to have been achieved. The bad news is that I have to trim the hub carrier to allow for clearance of the wheel and I have to trim the rear arms to allow for clearance of the outdrive! I also need to find some shorter doggones.

So the million dollar question is:

What vehicle has shorter doggones than an RC10 Dual Sport?

I don't want to give up just yet! Hopefully I can find some shorter doggones that will fit.

Not 100% sure how this works but when I articulate the arms w/o the ball joints connected everything moves just fine. It's only when I connect them that I have an issue. Is there something that I am missing?

Check the simple mistake first: Did you shorten the camber link length for the shorter track width?

Also are you using separate dog bones and stub axles or are you using one piece universals or CVDs?

Yes, I did shorten the camber link and I am using separate separate doggones and axels.

Well my guess is that the carrier isn't following the same camber change when the arm moves without the link attached that it is with the link attached. The dog bone could be pushing the carrier out when the link is not attached.

I ask about the dogbones because a one piece CVD or Universal might give you more clearance at the inside of the arm than the outdrive end of the stub axle you have. That'd be something to consider while looking for a shorter driveshaft.

A dual sport CVD or Uni would still be too long though, and unfortunately I have no touring car type driveshafts that I can offer as a suggestion. :|

When I give it positive camber it articulates batter.

I won't be able to tell for sure until I trim the arm so that the outdrive has proper clearance.

I just order a Dremel 231 Routing Table so that I can make neat work of it.

The B3 carrier actually is working out fairly well so far. It has decrease the rear track just enough for the wheels to tuck in the body. I am still on the look out for a drive shat that measures approximately 40mm in total length.

I tried HPI Racing's drive shaft part number 86193 and found that their site was accurate on their measurements. Total length was 45mm and pin to pin was a tad under 40mm. The Dual Sport's drive shaft measure 46.5 in total length and was a tad over 40mm pin to pin. I also tried HPI Racing's drive shaft part number 86967 which measured 37mm in total length and 32mm pin to pin. However, this is way to short.

So for now I am going to use the HPI Racing drive shaft 86193.

If all else fails cut the bone to the length needed, brass sleeve it and epoxy it or solder it

So the B3/T3 rear hub carriers are working out great accept they have 3 degrees of toe-in.

Is that considered a lot of toe-in?

Do I nee rear toe -in?

Is it possible to get the same carriers w/ 0 toe-in?
