Sanwa/Airtronics Super Vortex ESC models???

Post by HatTrick »

I was thinking of getting a Super Vortex Zero soon but then I noticed there are now several different models of this ESC. There's the SV-Gen2, SV-Stock, SV-Type D and SV-Sport. What's the real difference between them?
I want to make sure I get a model that has the telemetry and can change settings from the transmitter. Sanwa's website and Catalog isn't very clear on this.
I have a MT-4S and RX-472. Also looking at the RX-482 to get rid of the antenna in one of my cars.

With all due respect to rc10talk members, you're better off asking on a less vintage-oriented forum :)

I can't help with the range - but all of us racers who've looked into this speedo have given up as the boost setup info is not detailed enough to properly tune it.

The "tune from the radio" thing is cool - but before that, sanwa should give us something properly tunable to start with...

Good luck with the research!

I have the exact setup you've mentioned in my WOIN car but have yet to really play with it in depth. So far I've been happy with it.

I run one in my b44.3. I'm happy with it. I'm running a little boost with my Reedy 7.5 and easily keep up with 6.5 cars. Runs nice and cool, even without using the fan. No complaints here. 8)
