I recently emailed jconcepts about them. After they explained they were no longer in production I expressed my opinion that they should still support the vintage vehicles. :) I bought a blue one.

Good on ya! I've come to the party late and a little put out that jconcepts is not making their RC10 parts anymore. All I was able to round up were the finned turnbuckles and a Worlds cf tranny brace.

I do know where you can get a carbon fiber motor mount

That's the problem with most businesses, jump on the bandwagon while it's hot and jump off just before it cools off.

I would assume they would have to make X amount of motor plates (a few hundred) to continue to sell them at their current price. But I do not believe there is anywhere near a few hundred people that would actually buy all of them, and they're not in business to sit on product. Especially now that the rc10 re-releases are discontinued and the interest in them seems to have calmed down.

If you want to see the trend before it happens, follow JConcepts. They seem to know exactly what's going on. Their parts are always in demand and yet there are never any left at the end of the cycle. If they had made one more batch they would likely be sitting on them for quite a while.

There's a few in germany indeed... I'm struggling with the appeal of the part, to be honest - the "honeycomb" pattern looks out of place to me, am I missing something? Especially for EUR50-ish shipped (to Europe... no idea about shipped to the US)

can someone please educate me?

Thanks!

If it makes you feel any better Paul, I'm not a fan either, looks out of place to me on a vintage car. Different strokes though...

But yeah, it's typically only worth making something in batches and, as pointed out, they don't want to sit on product. Can't blame them.
