I saw that post on FB.

It'd be cool if they split the RC10/JRX generation from the B2/XX generation. Understand it's more work and all though.

It's a shame it's indoors though IMO, the outdoor track is really nice!

That awesome Lars!

From what I heard they have been running slicks lately.

On the indoor it's typically been Electrons or Primes. I personally run Electrons on my B6D w/ a 17.5. Seems like most of the fast guys use primes.

Then again, I should caveat things with... I'm going for "fun", not necessarily fast. And I don't sauce. I don't race enough to worry about all that. I race to try to get better at driving and usually by the end of the day I'm happy turning more consistent and hopefully faster lap times due to practice and a little tuning.

Can the guys in classic with RC10 and JRX2 original tires get any traction? I do Ok with mine on indoor carpet offroad but lots of traction there. Curious about the old hard rubber tires on the clay?

Can you sauce? Might be better getting your most worn pair and saucing them. :)

I thought no saucing in the classic class? And I know nobody would ever cheat.

How is it shaving if I only have the tires that I bash on the asphalt with? lol. ;)

Sound like you'll need to find a new pair of rear tires.

I guess someone showed up last year with basically bald kit tires and thought they'd be legal. Nope. I'm gonna knock the "newness" off of mine out in the street before I head up, but I won't be getting crazy with it.

Just a pair of scuffs... maybe take a little wire wheel on the dremel to rough 'em up...

But you guys are able to get traction with the old original tires, I am just curious really? I have a hard enough time on clay getting modern tires to work.

From what I hear, no, there is no traction. It's more or less a drift competition with jumps.

But, you can run some old 2wd Tamiya car in the Classic class hopped up to the max and run modern rubber.
