Hey, new to forum, long time AE fan

Post by Ewag »

Hello everyone,
I've been a lifelong fan of Associated products. Like most of you, it started with the gold pan. Recently I've been interested in the history of the Rc10. I didn't know there were Edinger and Cadillac Rc10's. I have one of the first edition (no stamp) Rc10's. It's pretty cool to learn about all the differences between them and to own a piece of Rc history. In the future I will try to post pics of what I have and ask a few questions. Thanks for creating a place we can all share our experience with one of the greatest cars, the Rc10. Ew

Enjoy the worlds car. My family has allowed me to build the nose over the course of three days, but I am enjoying it. Love to see pics of your original car. Post em up when you get a chance.

Welcome to forum man, nice looking early release RC10s.
I'm a fan of early RC10 myself, still collecting the old ones.

Welcome!
Why do short arm/ 6 gears seem so much more common than any other type of Rc10?
. . . you have Associated Green Slime for brains. And not even new Green Slime, but old gooped out Green Slime.

That's a good question, I would have to say (and it's only a guess) it would have to be because of higher production of the short arm 6 gear car. So to break down that large number, we start looking at the stamp on the chassis, or where it was manufactured to figure out the "rarity" of the car. That's the best way I can explain it.
