No worries, he will get good practice doing two others!
I'm gonna sooo get kicked in the balls!
I didn't get to kick ya in the sack, but you did do me a huge favor and I owe you big time.
Here is the case of blue balls, I mean blue bodies
As you can see, I'm trying my hand using Frisket Film. It's a huge pain in the ass trying to lay down big sections of sticky film and trying to center them and have the lines even. On the other hand it does save time on the following bodies. I'm not sure how long the templates will hold up, maybe 3-4 paintings or more if they are really taken care of. There are two more bodies to follow (different paint schemes), I will keep the updates coming.
how are you liking the water base paints ? just tryed some and it took 5 coats to make the white so i couldnt see throu it .. not a big fan .. on the look out for more pactra paints
The body will fit differently depending on which front tower is used. I used a Fiber-Lyte tower that allowed me to keep my front section of body. I just trimmed it to the inside width of the tower.
Go for it Reg, it's worth the money. You maybe not think it will change how your paint, but it's so much nicer using water based paints and setting up a booth indoors.
Two RC10 graphite box art bodies, check! Only 2 more bodies to go for ya Rod Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics.

Looks great as usual!
2 bodies? CE box art for the 25 year project, and one for my queen B2 in Francis colours right. May also need you to do a B4 in Mayfield colours and few more of my queens of course.

Make that 1 body left. Francis body, check. Even did the flag on this one. Sorry Rod, this looks better in photos
Here is a group photo of Rod's latest bodies I've painted. Rod, I'll be home from work in about a week to hand them off. I guess you should have given me one more lol.
I need some help from you guys. I have a Sparmax AC-100 home in EU and I would like to find the same or a similar one in quality. Where is a good place to shop?
Many thanks,
Mannekenpis.

Thanks for all your answers, I never thought about a full size compressor... looking for one now. :?
I purchased an air brush some ten years ago for the Testors acrylic model paints. I think I may have used it once since I bought it until the last few months. So far I have painted at least two RC10 bodies and one Stampede body with Parm FastColor...
Just recently got a airbrush and compressor so I've been playin .
This was my first go at a body , it's externally painted over an old runner body .
Meant to be a dragon and i might try some flames as well soon .
This is my second attempt,...

I think you did a good job! I've used airbrushes for various hobbies over the years and while there is a learning curve, they produce excellent results with a little practice and understanding. Painting backwards is also another level of complexity....
Well I've picked an airbrush, next thing is paint, what is everybody using?
Createx seems to be widely available, was looking at the regular airbrush paint, does it stick to lexan?
i see they have other types, Wicked and Auto Air, just not sure...

if your going to do camo there are alot of curved lines go for a x acto swivel knife ... anouther learning curve but works well for curved lines
I have a ton of lexan to paint and need to get a good airbrush. I'm lookng for what you guys are using. I want internal mixing so I believe that is a 2 stage or dual stage...something like that. I've heard good things about badger and the LHS...

All of the top artists I know use Iwata, myself included. I still have a Badger 150 single action that I have had at least 25 years and still works fine. I have not personally heard anyone complain about or dislike their Iwata. I really like my...
Hey guys so here's the deal - if you were going to buy an entire airbrush setup (brush, compressor etc), what would you get and why?
I'm ready to drop the cash on a FULL setup but I want a good one that will be very versatile (so dual action?) and...

I only use my shop compressor for airbrushing, regulate the air down to what you need and also use it for what ever else you want to run the rest of the time.
Recently started airbrushing and using proline… it scratches off inside very easy. I’ve noticed others have had similar experience even after backing the paint in a Rustoleum or krylon clear. Anyone else using a brand different than proline and had...

Acrylic paints are quite soft when dry and easily scratched as a whole , the only solution is to put a final coat of a more durable paint on to back it .
I'm moving over to Acetone based paints but you really need to use a fume extraction paint...
