Nobody was a painter when they started RC, but everyone learned. Maybe now is your time to give it a shot.

I know for me personally, I don't want to waste my money on someone else's idea, because if it fails, I'll be pissed that I wasted $30 in paint and $20 on a body.

Mostly because I'm not a lexan body painter, let alone attempting something as complicated as this might be. Other than that, I just don't have the time.
No worried one bit about throwing some money at this. Wasted more than a few bucks on all of the past projects. 8)

If anyone has the time and ability to experiment with this, let me know. Without a properly painted body, I can never enter my metal build in the build of the month contest.

Those are candy colors so it's easily done.

Ohh no, not this guy.

To be honest, if you would be willing to let the 2 shades of blue stripping and the white be standard paint, this would be rather simple. Do the paint work first, shoot the candy last.

They even have Candy Yellow. You could probably get bottles of the 2 and do some custom mixing to get closer to the boxart hue.

Letting the striping be standard paint would be no problem. Or maybe even only do one or two of the stripes and the rest translucent. PayPal ready for whoever is willing to give it a shot. 8)

In the new RCCA January 2016 issue on page 62 , there is a vintage rc10 all blinged out in polished aluminum. The guy took home the concours award. His car is a see thru paint job, it looks like the same car from last year he had at the VONATS. I guess he came back this year again, only now he had lights all over it.I think some guys here might have noticed the buggy?????? I never used that stuff but I would leave the translucent paint LAST to paint. That way no masking and peel off problems, not to mention overspray would kill the effect.
Lifes to short not to play with toys.

I did up a Porsche shell using Tamiya PS 37 paint. I backed it with gun metal but one could just as well leave it translucent.

Keep in mind the protective film is still on the body at the time of those photos so you can't see how clear red it was
